Have you experienced Waves of Wellness?

Updated: Jan 10

At Emergent Purpose, we are passionate about offering unique and transformative experiences that help people across Bristol and beyond to connect with their minds and body. That's why we created our Waves of Wellness event series, which focuses on the different waves of emotions that we as humans experience and how to navigate them through various cold water therapeutic practices.

These include activities such as cold water swimming at Clevedon Marine Lake, which combines yoga and breathwork, as well as Ice bath experiences in Bishopston that include a sauna and a group breathwork practice.

The benefits of cold water swimming are numerous. It can improve circulation, boost the immune system, and increase feelings of well-being. It has also been shown to have a positive effect on depression and anxiety. For those looking for an extra boost, Ice baths can improve recovery time after a workout, decrease inflammation, and improve cardiovascular health. Also, these experiences can have the biggest positive effect on mental health. The shock of the cold water can release endorphins, which can improve mood and reduce feelings of stress and anxiety.

But the benefits of these practices go beyond just the physical. Doing these activities in a community of like-minded people provides a sense of support and connection, which is important for overall mental and emotional well-being.

If you're feeling a bit hesitant about taking the plunge, our events are a great way to dip your toes in and see if cold water practices are for you. Or, if you're ready to take a deep dive, we offer a variety of experiences that are sure to make a splash! Also, no previous experience is needed!

Our customers rave about the positive impact that our Waves of Wellness events have had on their lives. The proof in the magic!

Anya says, "This really makes you feel amazing, such a great start to your day. Everyone is so welcoming and friendly. Highly recommend."

Megan Wakelam adds, "These yoga & cold water swimming experiences are the perfect way to start the day. Can't wait to join for more in the new year."

Amy Staff says, "Yoga and Swim at Clevedon was my sole source of sanity whilst finishing off my MSc."

Over the past year, we at Emergent Purpose have been hosting these events. We have had over 500 people experience the benefits of cold water practices, including a high number of first-timers! In 2023, we are planning to expand the Waves of Wellness event series to include weekend events and even a Waves of Wellness tour.

If you're interested in experiencing the benefits of cold water practices, we have a number of events coming up in April that you can book now. We are also offering a Wowcher, which will give you membership prices for these experiences. Allowing you to commit to your well-being this year!

So come join the Emergent Purpose community and ride the waves of wellness. Not only will you benefit physically, but you'll also find support and connection with others as you navigate the ups and downs of life. Stay tuned for more information on the expansion of the Waves of Wellness event series.
